Hi everyone!

As a fashion and graphic designer, creating complex vector pattern brush corner tiles in Adobe Illustrator is an essential part of your work. However, it can be frustrating when these tiles do not align correctly, ruining the overall design of your artwork. Fortunately, there are several ways to fix this problem in Illustrator.

My first guide will be this video that is made especially for you! So watch and follow the steps at the same time.

Next, I am sharing these easy steps so You can read and follow them as well!

  1. Firstly, ensure that the pattern brush you are using is created correctly. A pattern brush is made up of four parts: a corner tile, a side tile, an inner corner tile, and an end tile. Each of these tiles needs to be created correctly to ensure that they align seamlessly when used in a pattern brush.
  2. To create a corner tile, draw a square or rectangle shape and then use the pen tool to draw the corner shape. The corner shape should be placed at a 45-degree angle, and the edges should be aligned with the sides of the square/rectangle. Once this is done, select both shapes and group them.
  3. The side tile is created in the same way as the corner tile but without the corner shape. The inner corner tile is created by copying the corner tile, flipping it horizontally, and then placing it next to the original corner tile. The end tile is created by copying the side tile and rotating it 180 degrees.
  4. Once you have created each tile, select all four and drag them into the brush panel. In the brush options window, select "Pattern Brush" and then click "OK." Your pattern brush is now ready to use.
  5. If your complex vector pattern brush corner tiles are still not aligning correctly, try adjusting the tile options in the brush panel. You can change the size, spacing, and rotation of each tile to ensure that they align seamlessly.
  6. Another option is to use the "Align to Pixel Grid" option in Illustrator. This option ensures that all objects are aligned to the pixel grid, which can help to fix alignment issues. To use this option, select all objects in your artwork and then click "Object" > "Align to Pixel Grid."
  7. If none of these options work, you may need to manually adjust the tiles in your artwork. To do this, select the individual tiles and then use the arrow keys to nudge them into place. You can also use the "Transform" panel to adjust the position, rotation, and scale of each tile.
In conclusion, fixing complex vector pattern brush corner tiles in Illustrator can be a frustrating task, but there are several ways to solve this problem. By ensuring that your pattern brush is created correctly, adjusting the tile options, using the "Align to Pixel Grid" option, and manually adjusting the tiles, you can create seamless vector patterns that are perfect for your fashion and graphic design projects.
